Ova.

With Easter fast approaching, it has certainly been the Week of the Egg. We have had scrambled egg smashes for lunch, omelets for supper, a 'few' chocolate eggs from the bulk store, and well...when we made those haystack cookie thingies, they were most promptly re-named "Bird's Nests". Of course, it was then noticed that the bird's nests were (Oh. My. Gawd.) empty!! We had to add eggs.

AND THEN......

Before.

During.

After.

And then at the bar, after curfew.

We'll be doing the same in a few days!!

Do I recognize taht bowl holding the decorated eggs? Is it a S.B. original?

And did that dye wash off their hands easily?

Of course, it is my prized original piece of anything. I so love that bowl.

The hands...well...let's just say we did our best with soap and water and a nail brush, but it really took a long 30 minute soak in the tub to get it off. But yes, it did, just eventually.

These pictures are GREAT. I LOVE the blue fingers pulling the egg out of the glass. Seriously, frame it, sell it, send it to Hallmark! You could make a million with that pic!

SCM - you mean to tell me YOU are the only one who eats chocolate eggs on Easter Sunday? I am having a ard time believing that.

As for the dyed eggs - who the hell would wanna eat week old out of the fridge hard boiled eggs??

Mmmmm, can't wait to eat those hard boiled eggs. Was just thinking about this yesterday, how we'd eat all the Easter dyed eggs in the days following Easter in sandwiches and just plain peeled with a little salt - after they'd been out of the fridge and hidden about the house for 12 hours or more. Ick!

We're dyeing our eggs tomorrow - I can't wait!!
