Christmas Countdown - December 5

Lame craft day. (apologies) What is it with kids and things that can hang, like mobiles, planets, anything? In our house, we like scissors. We sit and cut on lines I draw, cut out shapes, cut out pics from magazines, etc. It is termed "our homework".

So we did some homework and made-up hanging Christmas trees. Easy peasy, really...but yes, lame, yet the kids love it.

Cut along a snail shell like pattern like this:

And then it can hang like this:

Decorate as you will. Just a hint for the grown-ups to guide the children...the smaller, the better cause the really big ones just hang way too long. Expecially once adorned with stickers and glued on shapes. It would help to use a heavier stock paper, but in my case that would involve paying more than a dollar for a pad of construction paper.

Oh, and just a note, when they fight over one, they rip.
