#5
The party started... (and yes we did, it was perfect, they LOVED it, and we are thrilled to have made their day so special for them)
Princess balloons
The table set
To decorate our "treasure sacs" (loot bags)
And we played good old fashioned party games on a rainy afternoon
HOT POTATO!
SCOTCH TAPE THE TAIL ON THE DONKEY!
There were gifts
There was a Princess cake
A treasure hunt which finished with a creatively held high pinata thanx to Uncle Doug and a hockey stick
After 10 minutes of smacking that thing, they filled their treasure sacs (see? they get to do their own loot bags!)
And everyone left happy
Happy 5th birthday my growing up little boys, you continue to melt my heart every day.

Wow! Don't forget to change your profile now!
The party looks lovely, and I love the castle cake. (Though, it's a bit disappointing to be not surprised because I read you were making it on Crackbook).
And that last picture? It must have been lovely at times to have two sleeping soft babies to snorgle.
Happy, Happy Birthday troops!!
We *loved* your cake (your Mommy is very talented!)... it looks like you had a blast at your party!
We hope you have a great year (and can't believe you are so big already!)
hugs & kisses
I love the picture at the end - it caught me off-guard and made me melt. Happy birthday 5 yr olds! Looks like it was a big success.
I cried when I saw the princess balloons - you rock Mama.
Happiest of Birthdays to your two boys, it is nice to know that they have you!
Beautiful picture at the end of the post.
great party Nancy! way to go mom!
love the balloons, love the pinata held by a hockey stick, love the pin the tail on the donkey (I SO remember doing that as a kid), love the loot bags and especially LOVE the cake
AND that last picture got me all misty eyed
big hugs for your big boys
Happy Birthday to the boys!
And I love your loot bag idea, I am totally going to do that for the boy's 5th birthday in Sept (minus the hockey stick...maybe?).
That last picture got a BIG AWWWWWW out of me. And what a wonderful party! I'm not sure what were are doing for #6 here in July but I'm sure we'll think of something.
I loved the cake...Now I want cake.
;)
P.S. Funny, for the longest time I had trouble telling the twins apart (not so much that they look alike, could just never remember which was which), until they were at least three. And yet, I look at that picture of them in the hammock and have no trouble telling one from the other.
I keep coming back to that picture, just gazing at it and remembering what was...
Okay, so blogger kept my PS but ate my original comment? Argh!
I SAID, ahem, that I am sitting here *bawling* after looking at these pix. I was sniffling when I saw the princess balloons, had tears in my eyes when I saw you got them the princess cake (you ROCK!!) and was in full-out tears by the time I got to the hammock pic at the end.
You obviously know how to throw a way wicked cool party. Are you available for hire around, say, March of next year?
What a fab birthday party! The baby photo of your boys is precious.
I'm in awe of your party-throwing skills!
And that picture at the end totally made my uterus ache.
